Although you may be reluctant to admit it, at least publicly, life doesn't always live up to your expectations. As a result, you suffer - from stress, disappointment, fear, anger, outrage, hurt or any of a number of other unpleasant emotions. Meditation teaches you how to relate to difficult circumstances and the tensions and emotions they evoke with balance, equanimity and compassion.

Traditionally meditation was and it is still used for spiritual growth, like becoming more concious, unfolding our inner light, love and wisdom, becoming more aware of the guiding presence in our lives and knowing more about our true self.

More recently, meditation has become a valuable tool for finding a peaceful oasis of relaxation and stress relief from the demanding and fast-paced world.

Some of the benefits of meditation:

  • Lowers blood pressure and heart rate

  • Reduces mental chatter

  • Promotes ability to focus the mind

  • Helps you concentrate on whatever you choose

    Jerry is a colleague of mine who I highly recommend for anyone wishing to get fit physically, wanting to lose weight, getting ready for a wedding, and any other reasons good enough for your mind and body fitness!! Jerry Cheah is a Fully qualified Personal Trainer who has over 10 years experience in the Fitness Industry and has worked with some of the leading health club chains such as Fitness First and LA Fitness. He is also qualified in teaching Aerobics, Aqua Aerobics, Spinning, and Fitness Yoga and a certified SAQ trainer in speed ,agility,and quickness.

    Jerry is based in Croydon and runs his own Personal Training business where he has seen great success with his clients in a one to one setting, and he also teaches his own brand of aerobic class called Tighter Assets on a Monday evening in South Croydon. He is the winner of the 2005 Pink Aerobics Best Instructor award and has written articles for ZEST magazine and Blaqsport.
